Israel Police on Wednesday, 21 Tammuz 5772 permitted an event to celebrate the release of Arabs from Israeli prison by Israel on Har HaBayis. A number of Arabs released earlier in the week after serving time for disorderly conduct and related minor offenses marked the occasion with a celebration on the holy site. Those released are affiliated with the al-Aqsa Youth Organization.

Temple Mount activists released a statement calling on police to return control of Har HaBayis to Am Yisrael, directing the message at Minister of Public Security Yitzchak Aharonovich, calling upon him to instruct police to halt the discrimination against Jews on the holy site, to permit them to daven and to prohibit “the festivities by terrorists”.
