Fifteen Jewish families moved into Beit HaMachpelah on Tuesday, 2 Av in response to recent terror attacks. The approximately 100 people moved into the home, calling on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman to permit them to remain permanently.
The move was met with congratulatory messages from a number of cabinet ministers, including Ze’ev Elkin, Yariv Levin and Uri Ariel.
Ironically, the building in question was purchased by the Hebron Jewish community years ago, but the government prevents Jews from moving in, simply fearing the Arab response, preferring to ignore the fact the building was purchased legally and the fact there is no legal justification from prohibiting them from moving in.
The IDF has declared the building a ‘closed military zone’ to prevent others from joining the families.

Netanyahu needs to give orders to the military command to stop this nonsense, and allow Jews in Hebron to live in all of the houses they bought! Why isn’t Beit Yehudi speaking up and forcing the issue?
