Tragedy struck the Belzer community on Friday morning, after word spread of the sudden and tragic Petira of HaBochur Yosef Shmuel Friedman Z”L.
Yosef Shmuel Z”l was a perfectly healthy boy, who was in the Belzer Camp in Montreal for summer vacation. Sources tell YWN hat he hadn’t been seen for a while, and friends went to look for him in his room. He was found unconscious and in cardiac arrest. Hatzolah members who were on grounds in the camp along with local EMS attempted to revive him but he was R”L Niftar.
Yosef Shmuel was considered a Metzuyan in his Shiur, and was a Masmid. He was the son of Reb Tzvi Elimelech Friedman.
Askonim in Montreal along with the Misaskim Organization were working with local authorities to have the Niftar released and being flown back to New York where the Levaya will be held.
