A manhole explosion at the intersection of Ocean Parkway and Avenue J in Flatbush caused a brief power outage across the area.

Hatzolah and FDNY responded to the scene at around 1:30 PM. One minor injury was reported.

There were reports of lights and appliances flickering on and off, spreading from McDonald Ave to Nostrand Ave, from Ave J to Ave O, and into Marine Park.

Many home security alarms were set off as well.

ConEd crews were at the scene.
