Border police on erev Shabbos afternoon found an 8-year-old boy wondering alone in Emek Arazim in Jerusalem. It was a hot Friday and clearly, the boy was somewhat confused from the heat.
A Jerusalem woman reported seeing the child, in need of assistance due to the heat. They responded quickly and found the confused boy. They immediately placed him in their air-conditioned vehicle and gave him water to drink. His condition improved measurably in a short time period.
After speaking to the child, they learned he was on a bus with his 12-year-old brother, heading to their grandmother in Ramot. He however appears to have gotten off the wrong stop while his brother remained on the bus. They contacted the grandmother and told her the child was okay, and that they would drive him to her home.
They gave him a light stick, which brought a smile to his face, as well as a photo-op.
