With the siyum hashas only weeks away, rabbonim are still seeking a solution for the main Hebrew siyum in Eretz Yisrael. The planned venue, the Moshava Stadium in Petach Tikvah appears to be problematic for some since it is host to chilul shabbos events. The major English event will be held in Binyanei Ha’uma, the Jerusalem Convention Center.
While the stadium is still the official site selected, according to a report in Hamodia, Gur Chassidus is threatening to boycott the siyum due to the chilul shabbos at the stadium.
Rabbonim are signaling if anyone can suggest a more acceptable venue it would be their pleasure to move the event but for the time being, this does not appear to be the case.
