A three-alarm fire early Sunday destroyed a two-story summer bungalow at Sunshine Estates on Ranch Road in Thompsonville.
Monticello firefighters led the charge at the 7 a.m. blaze, which also brought out a number of other fire departments.
A next door neighbor woke up to see the flames shooting out of the house and called 911.
CatskillScoop.com reports that although there were families there for Shabbos, the building which was destroyed was empty at the time, no one was hurt. There are reports of one injured firefighter – unknown extent of his injuries.
