Numerous pedestrians were struck by a vehicle in Monsey on Monday afternoon, with some of the injured reportedly serious. It happened on Route 59 near Robert Pitt Drive at around 3:00PM.
Rockland Hatzolah and Ramapo Police raced to the scene and found three victims that were struck by a vehicle.
Initial reports are that it was a mother and two children, possibly two adults and two children.
Hatzolah transported one victim to Nyack Hospital, and additional victims to Good Samaritan Hospital.
One of the children is reportedly in critical condition.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
Officials announced Route 59 will be closed between NY 306 & Kennedy Drive for approximately 6 hours in connection to the investigation.
