According to a report from Jerusalem district border police, a bomb manufacturing operation in Abu Dis was raided and dismantled. It is located under the jurisdiction of the IDF’s Etzion Brigade.
Authorities report some 30 bombs hurled at security forces in the region since the beginning of the Gregorian year were manufactured in the facility. Two arrests were made in connection to bomb attacks in the past.
Border police raided the facility following a prolonged undercover investigation. Bomb components were found and confiscated in the facility, including pipes, fuses, and ingredients used in making pipe bombs. Additional arrests are expected.
An officer involved in questioning suspects explains this was a big raid as it was one of the more active bomb-making facilities found in the last year.
