Police Arrest Jerusalem Resident Suspected Of Incitement Against IDF Official

A 40-year-old Jerusalem resident, a member of the chareidi community, was taken into custody by police on suspicion of inciting violence against the head of the IDF Personnel Branch, Major-General Moti Almoz.

The arrest on Sunday, 10 Sivan, was the result of an investigation into inciteful pashkavilim calling for violence against Almoz surrounding the induction of chareidim into the military. Some of the pashkavilim were distributed near the senior officer’s home in Kfar Tavor.

The arrest was made in northern Israel and the suspect was arraigned before the Nazareth Magistrate Court on Monday morning. Police expect the arrest will lead to additional arrests.
