Many locations in Lakewood are currently without power – including Bais Medrash Gavoha. Forest Ave all the way from North-Lake Drive to 2nd Street has no power. 1st Street from Forest Avenue to Madison Avenue is also without power.
There are other scattered locations throughout the town without power as well.
Dozens of families have evacuated their homes for the night, and are making arrangements to spend the night elsewhere.
The outages are all due to large trees falling due to the high winds currently hitting the North-East.
As of this time, the electric company has arrived at the largest outage on Forest Avenue, and are attempting to correct the problem.
Generators have reportedly been brought into BMG to provide temporary power.

Put the power lines under ground like in the city, and falling trees and poles won’t cause power outages.
Costs $$$$
TO THOSE WHO DONT HAVE POWER AND ARE LEAVING THERE HOMES FOR THE NIGHT IT MAY BE A GOOD IDEA TO SHUT OFF THE WATER AT THE MAIN AND DRAIN THE PIPES
put the wires underground and u get fires like the one that happened outside yu today
