Temps are forecast to climb to 90 degrees in Central Park today, a high not seen there since Aug. 8 last year.
Central Park just missed the 90 mark on Monday, reaching 89 degrees.
The average high for May 29 is 74. But Central Park isn’t in any record territory for today — the record was 97, set back in 1969.
Those temps will seem even hotter today with the humidity, making it feel more like the mid-90s.
Some thunderstorms are possible this evening, with potential for gusty winds and hailstones.
Another day of warm comes Wednesday, with a high of 85. But then the humidity plummets Wednesday night, and the tri-state will feel relief on Thursday, when highs are expected around 78.
Friday’s high is forecast in the low 70s, and Saturday looks dreary with temps just in the 60s.
