Two former college students have reportedly pleaded guilty to a charge related to paying school officials to falsify their grades and transcripts, the Associated Press is reporting.
The two men, aged 22 & 25 pleaded guilty on Thursday to a misdemeanor state charge of falsifying business records. According to the AP, they were each sentenced to seven days of community service and fined $1,000.
The two former Touro College undergraduates were among 10 people indicted by a grand jury in July in a scheme to use the city college’s computer system to change grades and create fake degrees in exchange for money – as was reported HERE on YW.

$ 1000! What a joke! They should have gotten ten times that,plus getting “F” s for both courses and their degrees revoked. The officials who accepted those bribes should be fired and fined a big fine,too.
So what, they already graduated. At least the judge realized that they were trying make a parnasa.

Yes, I was being sarcastic. I really think that Touro should withdraw their degrees. Their lack of derech eretz to the school and the community is despicable. No to mention the chillul hashem.

These were FAKE degrees. Obviously the college will not accept them, as they NEVER EXISTED. There is nothing to withdraw.
