Please be my yogurt making cheerleader! 😄 I need chizzuk here bavakasha.
I want to get a yogurt maker to make pareve coconut milk yogurt at home. At the store it’s so expensive and only one store sells it unsweetened, aka sugar-free.
I want to try again.
A couple years ago I got a yogurt maker. It was nice with a ceramic bowl and my yogurt ended up terrible. I tried letting it set our longer. I don’t know if it was the non-dairy medium or starter stuff or what. But it was too much stress and I returned the machine.
I want to try again ans succeed this time!
If you are happily making yogurt at home or know someone who does and have encouraging words, please share ☺☺☺
Thank you thank you thank you! 🐣🐣🐣🍃🌼🌿

I assume that the main ingredient of yogurt – milk or some derivative (milk-fat, cream, etc…) is possibly essential to the process, and trying to substitute something else might be one reason for your non-success in the past.
What I do know is that my wife sometimes works for Norman’s Dairy marketing their Greek Yogurts. They are some of the nicest people I know. I have spoken to their food scientists in the past when my wife had questions about the ingredients or manufacturing process. I suggest you reach out to them either through their website contact form, or their facebook page. Helping you with some tips is not really going to hurt their business, so they might be willing to help.
No guarantees but it can’t hurt.
If all you need is a cheerleader, then by all means – “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.” Of course the double ‘Try, Try’ seems to indicate that another failure might be expected in between…

RebYidd: Can I use some store-bought pareve yogurt? Supposedly it may work. But it also may be too weak.
So yay … It sounds like it’s doable! And I just need to get out there and try again 🙂
Thanks everyone !!! 🙂
