This incident, which occurred last week, took place on a 425 bus traveling from Ohr Yehuda to Jerusalem. The chareidi male in the photo was seated on the left side of the bus, directly behind the driver.
An IDF soldier boarded carrying his weapon and a large bag. The driver asked him to present his IDF identity card as required to board the bus without paying. He did not have one and the papers who presented to the driver were not adequate to permit him to board without paying the fare.
The soldier did not have his ID as required (Teudat Choger). The soldier began combing his pockets in the hope of having enough to cover the fare. The chareidi man seated behind the driver suddenly got up and handed the driver enough money to cover the soldier’s fare. The soldier responded, “Wait a moment – I have money”. The chareidi man said “Ma pitom – you are not supposed to pay for you are serving. Soldiers who are serving don’t pay”.
The person who photographed the man and published the story was so moved he decided to document the event and pass it along in the hope of spreading the act of this one individual to as many as possible. He concludes, “I don’t know who you are, but you made a major kiddush Hashem today”.

May there be many more like this Fellow. Complete opposite end of the spectrum from those low lives who had audacity to burn this effigy on Lag b’Omer.
Very nice, but was he a terrorist, he had no papers!?
There are many many more of these good people doing the right things unfortunately what usually makes the news is the bad actions. May Yeshiva World try to focus and publish positive and good things. Yes no one is perfect but our obligation is to focus on the positive.
Thank you for restoring faith that goodness still exists
It looks like they r tourist as the network on the phone is from a different country
