United Hatzalah officials report over 500 of its volunteers are taking part in the Lag B’Omer 5777 operation. One hundred ambucycles are deployed in addition to dozens of 4-wheeled drive off-the-road vehicles. Doctors, paramedics and EMTs are working throughout the area. anyone requiring medical service may dial 1221 from any phone for a United Hatzalah response.

Based on the success of previous years, United Hatzalah has put up 800 “regional’ signs in 97 regions. By dividing up the Meron area, persons calling 1221 can simply look and tell the dispatcher which region number they see, and this will significantly expedite the medical response amid hundreds of thousands visiting the area.
