An Israel Police Shai District spokesman announced a pot bust was made in a Modi’in Illit home. According to the police spokesman’s report, police were working in Modi’in Illit, focusing on drug related activities. From the roof of a building they detected what appeared to be pot plants on the balcony of an apartment. They visited the apartment and confirmed their suspicions, arresting a 65-year-old man, another adult and a minor.

Police have since learned that the adult and minor would regularly visit the apartment to buy pot. They were released after being questioned. The owner of the apartment was held on suspicion of being a drug dealer. He was arraigned before the Jerusalem Magistrate Court.
