US Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman General Joseph Dunford is visiting in Israel, meeting with Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman and IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-General Gadi Eizenkott. During the visit, Eizenkott bestowed Israel’s Medal of Honor on General Dunford in a ceremony held in the Defense Ministry.

Lieberman thanked Dunford for visiting and being such a strong friend of Israel, presenting him with a letter expressing Israel appreciation for his extraordinary service.

Dunford arrived on Monday, 12 Iyar along with his wife and met with senior officials including PM Netanyahu. He also made a visit to Yad Vashem. He is also likely to be meeting with a number of high-ranking IDF officers.
