Border police in Jerusalem’s Old City on Sunday night the eve of 12 Iyar ,were attacked by Arab youths throwing fireworks.

Via the Mabat 2000 extensive closed circuit monitoring system, the suspects were apprehended. The four suspects, minors, are residents of the eastern capital. B’chasdei Hashem, there were no injuries.

There are literally hundreds of surveillance cameras operating in the Old City as part of the Mabat 2000 program which includes personnel monitoring a wall of screens around-the-clock, providing a real time picture of events, events that are recorded to provide information pertaining to any incident if and when required.
