Ministry of Agriculture inspectors have isolated a number of Galil region chicken farms fearing the presence of Salmonella, which may have been passed to eggs.
According to a report appearing in The Marker, the ministry has yet to issue an alert, however, it is likely this will occur as the inspectors have isolated a number of farms and egg collection in these farms may not take place.
It indicates the current situation may result in a shortage but details have yet to be announced.
