The man behind the wheel of a BMW involved in a deadly head-on crash in Brooklyn Saturday night has been arrested. Beka Skhirtladze, 26, is facing charges of criminally negligent homicide, vehicular manslaughter, reckless endangerment and reckless driving.
Police say he was going 90 miles an hour in a 30 mile an hour zone on Ocean Parkway in Gravesend when he lost control and slammed into a minivan at the intersection of Avenue X.
The driver of the minivan, Jamal Iqual, 23, was killed in the crash.
Skhirtladze and his passenger were both taken to the hospital.
Their conditions were described as stable.

What a Maniac ! I’m very familiar with that location. It’s got a sharp turn. 30 m.p.h. is too fast for that turn.
