One of two brothers on trial in the beating of a Baltimore teenager jumped out of his seat during court proceedings Tuesday morning to render aid to a courtroom observer who passed out.
WBAL-TV 11 News reporter Lowell Melser tweeted shortly after 10:30 a.m. that an observer in the courtroom passed out.
“As soon as she passed out, Avi Werdesheim jumped up out of his seat to render aid,” Melser tweeted.
The woman was OK when she left the courtroom with emergency workers.
Werdesheim, and his brother Eli, are accused of beating a teenager while on a neighborhood watch patrol in the 3200 block of Fallstaff Road on Nov. 19, 2010.
Last month, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Pamela White granted the defense’s request for a bench trial and is hearing the case.

I thought this case was dismissed
If this was a jury trial, this may just have helped.
Originally it was to be a jury trial. However, with all the negative publicity about neighborhood watch groups related to the Trayvon whats-his-name shooting, they asked for it to be postponed until that blows over. Instead, the judge agreed to a non-jury trial.
Nevertheless, with Hashem’s help this might improve the judge’s opinion of their character.
