The terrorist who perpetrated the attack at the Kalandia Checkpoint on Monday morning has been identified as Asya Kabaneh, 41, from Duma in the Shechem area.
She is married and the mother of nine. She told her investigators that she has been engaged in a lengthy conflict with her husband who has threatened to divorce her.
It was also learned that she quarreled with her husband last night over the education of their children. As a result, she decided to commit a terrorist attack so that the security forces would shoot her because – in her words – she was fed up with her life.

What’s this, the latest excuse for killing Jews? They have problems, so they become terrorists so someone will kill them. Can’t they just kill themselves?
Or, her plan always was to not commit an attack, but rather get caught and as a result escape the dangers and humiliations a divorced Palestinian woman would likely be put through.
Instead, she gets a free vacation – 3 hots and a cot, all kinds of benefits (health, recreation, education) and probably be released sometime down the road.
