Rocket Attack in Chof Ashkelon Region

In the midst of the Independence Day celebrations on Wednesday night, eve of 4 Iyar 5772, residents of several communities in the Ashkelon Coast Regional Council were compelled to abandon the streets and head back to the shelters as the Red Alert sounded in the region. Then a rocket exploded in an open area within the council without causing damage or casualties.

This is the second time this week it absorbs the Ashkelon Coast Regional Council attack, after a Kassam rocket explosion in the council on Monday. The rocket launched from Gaza caused no damage or casualties.

The day before, a rocket exploded in an open area in the local council rate Negev, causing no damage or casualties. However, no alarm sounded before the fall. Also, last week a Hamas sniper fired at Moshav Netiv near Gaza. Local resident said he heard a whistle of a bullet and then immediately identified the injury in an exterior wall of a private house. There were no injuries as a result of the shooting.
