Preparations are underway in Meron to set up the giant hachnasas orchim tent in Meron ahead of Lag B’Omer. Work began on Wednesday morning 23 Nissan for the annual event that will bring several hundred thousand mispallalim to Kever Rashbi.

The large tent will have 1,700 seats for visitors and the plan is to prepare 350,000 meals for persons coming to the area, including the Shabbos preceding Lag B’Omer. In addition, air conditioning has been ordered for the tent as it is generally required on Lag B’Omer.

The arrangements are being handled by Mosdos Ohr HaRashbi, with the latter also working in coordination with United Hatzalah, which annually sends EMTS, paramedics and physicians to man the area for the week in addition to setting up a first aid clinic manned by doctors.
