For some people, a simply walk around Jerusalem’s Old City just doesn’t do it and they need something a bit more extreme. If you are counted among this group, perhaps rappelling the walls or crawling through a secret tunnel or entering the guard tower of Shar Shechem would do it for you.
The historic family trek will be available on Chol Hamoed Pesach (April 11-16) from 9:00AM to 5:00PM.
Following are options availalable as per the Jerusalem Municipality
A spectacular panoramic view of the city’s walls, including the observation of the three domes, entrance to the secret crawling tunnel in Tzidkiyahu’s Cave with helmets and lanterns, and ending with rappelling (for ages 9 and up) or climbing in the ancient guard tower. NIS 69 on April 12 and 13.
Rappelling the walls: Ages 9 and up. NIS 25 a person on April 12 and 13.
Visiting the walls of the Old City. NIS 10 a person on April 11 to 17.
Visiting Tzidkiyahu Cave: The cave of mystery and the legends of Jerusalem. About nine dunams of them were hewn into the building of Jerusalem and Bayis Sheni. A glimpse into the ancient times and secret builders. NIS 10 a person on April 11 to 17.
