Civil Administration Cancels Demolition Orders For Psagot And Modi’in Illit

Demolition orders against structures in Yishuv Psagot and Modi’in Illit have been canceled by the IDF Civil Administration. This is the direct result of the Knesset passing the Regulation Law, which retroactively legalizes thousands of homes in Yehuda and Shomron. Demolition orders were also canceled in the Binyamin Regional Council community of Kochav Yaakov.

In fact, demolition orders were issued a number of weeks ago, for four buildings in Psagot, five in Modi’in Illit and two in Kochav Yaakov. These orders were for homes that were built years ago, in the jurisdiction of the respective communities on private land.

The Regavim organization sent a letter to Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit citing the demolition orders are illegal following the passing of the Regulation Law which went into effect on 13 February 2017.
