In a letter dated 24 Nissan 5772, the Chief Rabbinate of Israel prohibits official Yom Yerushalayim events on motzei Shabbos towards preventing chilul Shabbos surrounding preparations for such events. The events are therefore being pushed off a day to Sunday.
The letter adds that if Lag B’Omer falls out on motzei Shabbos, the lighting of the fires should be pushed off to the latter part of the day to prevent chilul Shabbos.
And finally, schools will not be off on Lag B’Omer but the day off will be pushed to 19 Iyar, 34 B’Omer.
The letter which was sent to schools and learning institutions is signed by Chaim Hemdinger, the secretary of the Chief Rabbinical Council.

What is “the latter part of the day”? What the letter says is that when Lag B’omer is on Motzei Shabbos then bonfires and all other events should be held on Sunday, and schools should be off on Monday.
The whole thing is late in the day. All three Zionist “hagim” (Holocaust, “independence,” and Jerusalem) are big conceits. The rabbinate is right in concerning itself only with their chillul Shabbos aspects.
