Allow me to share my recent experience.
I’ll admit it, I like to dress nicely, but don’t know too much about men’s clothing. Needing a few suits and a hat for my son’s upcoming bar mitzvah, I shopped around, going into a few fancy looking stores. After three long days, I had a big headache and the clothing that I needed. I had two suits, 3 shirts and the brand of hat that I’ve always worn, although it it didn’t quite look the same.
Total spent $2800 (plus 2 Advil)
Next up: my son’s shopping and I was dreading having to do this again. My son told me that all of his friends shop at The Hatbox and he’d like to do the same. I figured let’s give it a shot. Boy was I surprised! They had everything that he needed; Hats, suits, sports jackets, shirts, ties and shoes. All at a fraction of what I had paid for my clothing. I figured it was probably because this was clothing for boys, however when the entertaining and helpful sales guy showed me a suit, I couldn’t say no. The crazy thing is, it’s the only suit that I want to wear and it’s not just because it was half the price of my other suits. It looks amazing and it feels great too. The Lusso hat that my son wears is getting so many compliments. He looks absolutely adorable. My hat on the other hand, might as well be worn inside out.
Total spent $850 (and felt great)
Lesson learned
From now on we’re only shopping at The Hatbox.
Sincerely,
A Super Satisfied Customer

So… what was the Embarrassing experience? lol
How is it even possible to spend $2,800 on two suits, three shirts and a hat? That’s insanely high, even for expensive stores.
Dude’s the worst shopper ever.
Why is this called embarrassing?

If you go into Barney’s, Nordstrom etc. you will find any decent suit priced at $700-$1200 and shirts priced from $75-$125 each. I’m not familiar with pricing for yeshivish looking hats so can’t comment. But overall, $2800 is what you would expect for good quality men’s clothing and I’m not talking about custom designer suits. If you are used to shopping at Sears for men’s suits made in Bangladesh or Viet Nam, I guess you can find cheaper options but the writer indicated this was for a special simcha.

Don’t put ads that appear to be a letter written by someone. I don’t believe this letter is real.
