The Histadrut National Labor Federation announced the Egged strike set to begin this morning, Tuesday, 23 Adar, is canceled. Labor leaders decided to accept a suggestion from Tel Aviv Labor Court Justice Osnat Ravovitz, that the sides will enter into intensive negotiations in line with a court-set timetable addressing the issues.
The state will present its position by Thursday, 25 Adar or at the very latest Tuesday, 1 Nissan. If agreement is not reached the sides will appear before the court against on Wednesday, 2 Nissan. Egged reserves the option to strike at the end of this process if agreement is not reached.
