What’s kosher grown lettuce?
What are kosher grown leaf products?
Thank you

What happens if one bugs flies in? Do they still use pesticides? Praying mantises maybe?
Are those leafy vegetables significantly more expensive?
Are they still grown in soil? Or in pots?

I’m not sure how they’re grown.
Yes, they’re more expensive, because they’re more costly to produce. The consumer has to decide whether the cost is worth saving themselves the time and effort required to wash and check the leaves on their own.

With their expulsion, they moved their businesses to other locations. Marketed under various names, such as Aleh Katif.
Bugs can fly in afterwards. Which is why the packaging tells you to soak in soapy water for 3 min and rinse well. I’ve found bugs floating in that water.
Supposedly they are still sprayed.
They are more expensive than regular produce. Since the stores I shop in don’t even carry the non-bug free type, I have no idea how much. I imagine the price difference in the US is even higher, since it is imported.
There are other types of bug free products- some undergo special washing/inspection before packaging (Bodek) and some are grown in special conditions in South America (I think that one is called B’gan)March 19, 2017 7:32 am at 7:32 am #1238171☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantBodek does greenhouse romaine now as well.
Personally, I buy PosTiv. B’gan has broccoli and cauliflower (as does Pardes). There might be more.
The products I’m referring to do not require any further washing, as besides being grown in a greenhouse (I don’t know if the methods are the same used by Aleh Katif), they’re washed before packaging.
