MKs (Ichud HaLeumi) Prof. Aryeh Eldad and Dr. Michael Ben-Ari on Tuesday, 4 Nissan 5772 visited Beit Choshen in the Har HaZeisim area. Their visit was prompted by the steady increase of attacks against Jews trying to make their way to and from the cemetery and the Jewish buildings in the community.
The legislators heard complaints from people who stated they do not have adequate police protection citing the dangers associated with trying to visit the site and the difficulties encountered daily by residents.
The MKs are calling on the appropriate agencies to exercise Israeli sovereignty in the area as should be the case and to do whatever is required to restore security for visitors and residents alike.
