When my sister was in seminary, someone set her up with a Russian guy. He spoke Russian and moderate hebrew. She spoke english and moderate hebrew. After the disasterous date he said to her “The decision to marry is in your hands.” Yeah, real romantic 😉 Needless to say she did NOT marry a guy she could barely communicate with.
