Kol Chai Radio reports that while the condition of HaGaon HaRav Chaim Pinchos Sheinberg Shlita was “touch and go” during the earlier afternoon hours, there appears to be a slight improvement at this hour. The rav, who is suffering from a systemic infection and compromised renal output remains critical.

The rav’s family was summoned earlier in the day. He was taken to the hospital shortly before Shabbos and his condition has since taken a sharp turn for the worse.

In the next bed in the 8th floor Shaare Zedek Medical Center intensive care unit is Maran Posek HaDor HaGaon HaRav Yosef Sholom Elyashiv Shlita, whose condition remains critical as well.

The two gedolei Torah remain comatose and on assisted respirations. The tzibur is requested to continue being mispallel for Rav Yosef Sholom ben Chaya Musha and Rav Chaim Pinchos ben Yosefa b’soch kol cholei am yisrael.
