YWN regrets to inform you of the Petira of HaRav Avraham Rappaport ZATZAL, the former Morah D’asra at Bais Medrash hagadol of Washington Heights, a Mechaber Sforim (Shailos Utshuvos Bais Aba), who was Niftar last night in New York, at the age of 84.
The levaya will be taking place at 11:15 AM today at Shomrei Hachomos in Boro Park, 43rd Street and Fort Hamilton Avenue. The Kevura will be taking place in Monsey, NY.
He leaves behind his Rebbitzen, and three children, and many grandchildren.

Is he the son in law, and successor rov of the shul, of Rav Oshry ztl (which was the shul of the Chief Rabbi of New York)?
To #1: I believe that you are referring to the Bais Medrash Hagodol of the LOWER EAST SIDE.
