According to a Kol Chai Radio report today, 21 Adar 5772 at 13:00 IL, a vehicular accident occurred en route to the tziyun of the Noam Elimelech in which eight avreichim were injured, two seriously.
Zaka’s international unit is trying to obtain additional details regarding the identities of the victims and the accident. It appears a vehicle taking mispallalim to the tziyun of Noam Elimelech of Lizensk ZY”A was involved in an accident.
Today marks the 225th yahrzeit of the tzaddik, a talmid of the Maggid of Mezritch. Thousands are expected to visit the tziyun during the day.
13:40: The vehicle involved in an accident traveling to the tziyun was driven by a local, apparently a transportation service.
One of the passengers quoted by Chadrei Chareidim, a volunteer of Boro Park Hatzolah explains he sustained minor injuries, permitting him to try to help the others. He explained to the Russian driver in English to call an ambulance, which he did. After waiting 50 minutes, there was no response.
“Simultaneously, I called Hatzolah Boro Park and asked them to contact local Hatzolah people for assistance. B’rachmei Shomayim we managed to treat the victims, two of whom were transported to a local hospital. We continue our tefilos”.
15:02: The four avreichim in the vehicle sustained light injuries. Two others, locals, were injured significantly more seriously.
