Rav Kook and Rav Sonnenfeld stood firm against the British ym”sand weak-kneed Jews and there was no violence over it. Moshe Sharett warned that there would be violence we would be thrown out of the UN if we declared Yerushalayim to be our capital. BG said”OOM shmoom” (OOM is the Hebrew acronym for the UN) declared it our capital and nothing happened.
