The Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford’s Community Relations Council and the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving announced this month that they distributed two $25,000 grants among seven local Jewish organizations to upgrade and modify security arrangements.

The funds will help respond to security gaps at institutions such as schools and community centers, federation leaders said. The Recipients are the Federation Homes in Bloomfield, the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Community Services Building, Hebrew Health Care, Hebrew High School of New England, Jewish Family Services, Mandell Jewish Community Center and Solomon Schechter Day School in West Hartford.
