A Look at the Past Day’s Warfare from Gaza


The daily Yisrael HaYom newspaper takes a look at the last wave of warfare from PA (Palestinian Authority) controlled Gaza, which began on erev Shabbos, 15 Adar 5772.

According to official IDF statistics, 304 rockets were fired at Israel in four days. 166 of the rockets landed in Israel. 71 rockets were fired in areas covered by the Iron Dome, of which 56 were intercepted. Military officials are pleased with the Iron Dome’s 75% success rate, stating that without a doubt the new system prevented fatalities and injuries.

Eight Israelis were injured and 19 rocket-firing terror cells were targeted by the air force.  14 rocket-firing cells were hit prior to launching rockets. 22 terrorists were eliminated.
