However, Rav Kook (“March of the Camps”) decried the use of chareidi and chofshi (the only labels in his time) as they prevent teshuva. The former thinks that he has nothing for which to repent (after all, he shakes at the word of Hashem) and the latter thinks that as a religious term it does not apply to him.
