Eighteen toddles and three teachers were treated for smoke inhalation when a fire erupted in an Elad kindergarten on Sunday morning. The blaze was caused by an electrical short circuit in a heater.

The toddlers, 18-months-old, were transported to Schneider Children’s Hospital in Petach Tikvah and Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer in Tel Aviv. The teachers were transported to Beilinson Hospital in Petach Tikvah. All injuries were reported as light.
