Only days after his release from prison, former Shas cabinet minister Rabbi Shlomo Benizri is making an immediate return to the public arena. Upon his release, Benizri released statements to the media lashing out at the High Court of Justice for its “unjustified conviction”, insisting he is innocent and committing to proving his innocence. He did not spare the criticism against Justice Edmond Levi.
Appearing at a Zaka event, Benizri continued on the same path, lashing out against the nation’s highest court, insisting his conviction was wrong and a “price tag act” by the court. Benizri vows to clear his name and show the court for what it really is.
