What you’re talking about is known as your username, screen name (sometimes abbreviated as SN), or, simply enough, your name.
This thread is about what appears under the name you “asked for” – in your case, [Member].

Thanks for the idea of using italics to indicate quotation – I hadn’t thought of that, even though I’m sure some people dislike
the look of <code>/backtick text, and <blockquote> takes longer to type.
If I use italics, though, I’ll add quotation marks (I’ll use them with backtick text as well – until now I hadn’t thought to [facepalm]).
