A city square in Betar Illit has been dedicated in memory of the late Degel HaTorah leader and MK, Rav Avraham Ravitz z”l. The location is a junction of Kehilos Yaakov Street named in memory of the Steipler ZT”L, Igros Moshe Street named after Rav Moshe Feinstein ZT”L and Mifal HaShas Street named after the Sanzer Rebbe ZT”L. Mayor Rav Meir Rubinstein in his address at the dedication ceremony told participants, including a son, Rav Yitzchak Ravitz, that the intersection that was selected is not coincidental.

Rav Rubinstein stated it is simply a zchus for his city to name a square after such a person, one who dedicated his life towards helping the Jewish People and mosdos Torah.
