IDF soldiers taking part in counterterrorism operations throughout Yehuda and Shomron arrested four suspects during the night.

09:00: IDF forces opened fire at infiltrators along the Egyptian border. One person was killed. Others fled. No injuries to IDF forces. Incident occurred in same place of border where a bomb was placed last week.

** Under the threat of a strike by El Al, IsrAir, and Arkia Airlines over the Open Skies deregulation plan with European airlines, Minister of Transportation Yisrael Katz backed out of signing the deal at the last moment. He apparently accepted the contention of the Israel airlines that such a deal, reregulation, would place the Israeli airlines in financial jeopardy.
