On these deals CVS gives you back an amount less than or equal to the price of the item. But if you use coupons you can come out ahead. You don’t actually get money back, you get a coupon (that’s the extra bucks) printed at the end of your receipt that you can use on most CVS purchases (major exception is prescription meds) which expires in 30 days.
