NY Governor Spitzer Ratings Hit Rock Bottom

spitzer.jpgA Siena poll found the negatives outweigh the positives for the first time in Gov. Eliot Spitzer’s favorability rating – 41-46 – and his job approval rating is even worse: 33-64, down from last month’s low of 41-55.

Just a little over one year ago, Spitzer won 69 percent of the vote. When he took office in Janaury, his favorable rating was a whopping 75 percent. Five months ago, 64 percent viewed him favorably and 55 percent gave him a positive approval rating.

As Siena spokesman Steve Greenberg so aptly put it: “All that’s changed in a New York minute.”

“Eliot Spitzer’s standing with voters has fallen faster and further than any politician in recent New York history,” Greenberg continued. “Everything may not have changed on day one but from the voters’ perspective, everything about Governor Spitzer changed in year one.”

  1. That is no surprise. Just read Frederic U. Dicker’s columns in the New York Post. They are all archived on the New York Post’s website.

  2. Another Governor; this one a Goy.

The following sign was seen today at the State of ILlinois office building in downtown Chicago:
“Governor BlaGOYevich Celebrates Arab Heritage Month.”

  3. Lets not forget the unpopular issue of giving driver’s licenses to illegals that he suports and was highlighted big time at the Democratic Debate a coupleof weeks ago

  4. No Republican was willing to run because Spitzer was such an overwhelming favorite. I don’t see how frum jews can vote for a person trying to bring gambling to the Catskills, is redefining marraige and won’t support vouchers, but yet many of us do.

  5. While I believe his ratings ARE going down due to the fact that hes ALWAYS on the wrong side of the argument I wouldn’t give too much credents to these polls.

  6. Follow-up on Comment No. 6:

The same Illinois Governor BlaGOYevich (a Democrat) is the one who appointed a Farrakhan (Yemoch Shmo) lieutenant to the state anti-hate crime commission, claims he did not know her background when he appointed her, but refuses to ask for her resignation.

Unfortunately, official anti-Semitism is thriving in the Midwest.
