bk613 didn’t say some people don’t want college. He/she said some people aren’t cut out for college. For those people to go to college is simply a waste of time because they will either (A) fail out or (B) end up with a useless degree. College will only give them a false sense of hope, and set them up for disappointment.
Jobs like the ones the OP mentioned are perfect opportunities for those people.
