Motorists are seeing sharply higher prices at the pumps in New Jersey.
AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of regular gasoline in New Jersey on Friday was $3.42, up 8 cents from last week. That’s also much higher than it was a year ago, when motorists were paying $3.05.
Meanwhile, the national average price rose 8 cents and is now $3.47. That’s also much higher than the national average from a year ago, which was $3.12.
The price boost marks the ninth straight week that gas prices have risen in New Jersey.
And analysts say prices will likely rise in coming months as the economy improves and as refineries crank up production of more expensive warm-weather gasoline blends.

Yes, thank you President Obama, gas prices are goingup again. This WILL cause food prices to keep rising as well.
In Israel, we pay about 8 shekels for a liter, which is close to a quart, that is over $2 for quart or $8 for a gallon, but we have a much better economy than America. Bottom line, Americans are cry babies who do not care about their economy, only their stomach and pocket book.
Wise up, it is time America took control of its economy by slapping taxes on imports, then perhaps they will drill their own oil and not be dependent on Iran.
2. The only half legitimate point you make is that the USA should stop standing in the way of allowing ‘their’ companies to drill for oil either on or off shore. The problem we have is that the environmentalists wackos get involved and kill all good things in the USA.
