I wear a mask,
covering the “me” that’s real,
faking to be happy,
to others to appeal.
Its not who I am,
its who I want to be,
yet I’m not that person at all,
I’m now constrained not free.
Pretending life’s awesome,
smooth sailing and just so fine,
but inside I’m so confused,
myself I can’t define.
